TOP TEN: AMERICAN IDOL FINALISTS

American Idol is undeniably the best Singing Search on earth to date.
It produced numerous good singers that dominated the charts. All through out the season, the show features lots of interesting contestants. And I Am a Big Fan. Hence, here's the list of my Top Ten Favorite Idol Finalist.
1. KELLY CLARKSON - She's the original Idol. The singing idol from Season 1 certainly is and will be the most successful Idol ever. Judges were never wrong on their praises to this lady. She's got issues with her size but nonetheless she look radiantly beautiful. Thus, making her on the top of my lists. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: My Life Would Suck Without You, Since You've Been Gone, Breakaway, Already Gone, A Moment Like This. 2. JORDIN SPARKS - Young and Beautiful. This singing idol from Season 6 has one of the most powerful voices in Idol run. Despite her age she still managed to portray very powerful performances that eventually landed her the title. I remember watching her in every episode of Season 6 and whew, i was just but mesmerized as always. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Tattoo, No Air, One Step at a Time, This is My Now, Battlefield. 3. DAVID ARCHULETA - Charming and Youthful. Hailed from Season 7 of idol, one of the earliest front runner but managed only to be on the 2nd spot. He is the most loved among any other Idols. He have tasted both of Simon's good and bad criticisms. I really like the way he brings his self to the public, seems very approachable and appreciative. He's been to Manila for a back-to-back concert with David Cook, and of course, I was there. And to mention, he's been dominating the charts here and there. Kudos Archu. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Crush, A Little Too Not Over You, Touch My Hand, Your Eyes Don't Lie, Zero Gravity. 4. KRIS ALLEN - Looks and Voice. He's got both. For me this idol from Season 8 has the most unique and very distinguishable voice among any others. He performs each song from his heart, good or bad comments are accepted by him. Probably not the best singer on his batch, but thanks to his good looks, America voted and placed him to where he is now. I have high hopes for this man. May he be successful. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Heartless, No Boundaries, Everything. 5. CARRIE UNDERWOOD - Country and Classic. The most awarded singing idol, pride of Season 4. She been very successful on her genre. I wasn't able to watch much of the Season 4 but seeing this idol making big waves on the music industry makes me proud not only of her but of the show as well. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Jesus Takes the Wheel, Home Sweet Home, Before He Cheats. 6. ANOOP DESAI - This alumni of season 8, got the voice, voice that Simon himself praises. Yet, another Indian to make it to the Elite Finalists of Idol. Anoop was able to create an Idol history, breaking the idol usual 12 - finalists per season, Anoop was included and became the 13th finalist of his season. I was once watching the audition rounds as my little cousin said i have a big resemblance of him. CONTRIBUTING FACTOR: My Prerogative, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Everything I Do, Always on my Mind. 7. BLAKE LEWIS - Beat Box and Hip. Runner Up of Season 6, made his way to the top by showing his unique way of interpreting songs. His beat box style to the song you Give Love a Bad Name was indeed remarkable. I really like him during the Season 6 run from the start until the end along with Jordin. I hope he can make it to the music industry and make it big. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: You Give Love A Bad Name, Geek in the Pink, How Many Words. 8. RAMIELLE MALUBAY - Cute and Bubbly. Proud Filipina. One of the early faves but had deteriorated performances as the contest goes by. Simon praised her for her powerful voice. I really am very proud of her as she is proud of where she came from. I know it'll be hard for her to penetrate the main stream but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Alone, In My Life, You Don't Have to Say You Love Me, Against All Odds. 9. DAUGHTRY - Rock and Successful. He was not even included in the Top 3 Finalists, but he can be considered as one of the top 3 most successful idols along with Underwood and Clarkson. He's got Grammys and his made big waves on the music industry. I like his style and i hope his music lives on and on. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Home, It's Not Over , What About Now. 10. DAVID COOK - Consistent and Vibrant. Cook's victory over Archuleta is a major dismay for me, but this big winner of Season 7 proved that he is more than deserving of the title and he lives on the very sense of it. He's been consistently great with all of his performances. Rocked Manila with Archuleta last May 2009, one of the biggest events in Philippine Concert scene. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: Come Back To Me, Always be My Baby, Time of My Life. Awaiting for Season 9. Less Paula Abdul, I hope the show is again to produce batch of great singing idols. Hello There, Baby James!

Hello There, You Look at Them When You Say Hello There!

This is my new LCS [ Last Commercial Syndrome ]. Baby James is indeed making his mark in the Showbiz World. At his early age, he has already made a name for himself. The famous son of two known personalities in the country, Baby James doesn't need the help of his mom, Multimedia Queen Kris Aquino and dad, Basketball Superstar James Yap, for he has used his own charm to make his audience fall in love with him.  He has appeared  in several commercials and a primetime soap opera. The cute and bubbly kid can  can be considered as one of the luckiest kids around, Why Not?Apart from having the star-in-the-making features, adding to his profile are superstar parents on both of their fields. He also has his Tito Noy, the President to back him up.

He also has some fair share with controversies. During the May 2010 National Elections, instead of him endorsing his Tito Noy he promoted Villar (Noynoy strongest rival then).

and who would forget the Photo Scandal he had.

Common let's give this kid a break. Right Bimby?

One with Telus!

Today marks my 1st year anniversary with Telus International Philippines as an employee.

It was January 19, 2010 when I decided to apply at Accenture (but i didn't make it), I then dropped by Telus Cubao to try my luck. I arrived there at 11 a.m. The room was filled with applicants. I almost backed out. I got called for the initial group/panel interview at around 1 p.m. We were 8 in the group and I was one of the few who passed. It was followed by series of examinations and interviews. I wasn't expecting that I will make it through each steps. It was kind of tough for me as I don't know anyone in the room. So I have  kept my nervousness to myself. It was that time I have learned to talk to Him. Prayers were really powerful. I just prayed for each steps i go through.and there I,  just found myself smiling as I am being congratulated by the interviewer. I was then endorsed for the very final interview, I messed up with my interview. I really did. Since it was just for formality, I still got hired.

It was January 25 when I signed my contract and got the offer. It was on that day as well that we started the training. I passed the training and then got endorsed for the regular production. The turn out of events was quick. i got regularized as an employee last July 25 2010.

I must say, my stay with Telus isn't easy at all. I struggled. I was challenged. I failed. I have been through a lot. I didn't even think I would still be able to redeem myself. But despite all these, I am still very thankful for this wonderful opportunity. I just wish I can still stay longer than I could.

I feel so blessed. I have been able to do stuff that I wasn't able to do before. With Telus, I was able to:

- i was able to continue my vacation escapades
- i was able to befriend more people
- i became a less irate agent.
- i learned how to value my work
- i was able to experience graveyard shift
- i became financially stable (at least - compared to before)
- i was able to pay my bills
- i was able to buy a laptop.

but 3 things i liked and most thankful for:

- I grew up as a person.
- I regain my faith with God
- I was able to go back to schooling

This is already my 4th company all in all. I've been employed with

Confabia Inc (Mar 2008 - Dec 2008)
Gotalk Phil Inc ( Dec 2008 - July 2009)
Golden Acres Food Service Corp (July 2009 - January 2010)
and Telus International Philippines (January 2010 - present).

I hope I would stay longer and stronger and better.

One More Chance...!

"Ang totoo hanggang ngayon umaasa parin ako na sabihin mong ako parin. Ako na lang. Ako na lang ulit. "
- Basha
"She loved me at my worst. You had me at my best. And you chose to break my heart."
- Popoy
"sometimes you have to break up to grow up,it takes two grown ups to make a relationship works.."
"Siguro kaya tayo iniiwanan ng mga mahal natin dahil may darating pang ibang mas magmamahal sa'tin - 'yung hindi tayo sasaktan at paasahin...'yung magtatama ng lahat ng mali sa buhay natin.'

Undeniably, One More Chance is one of the most beloved Filipino films in the country. This movie was shown last November 2007 but until now it's still being talked about. It is as well considered as one of the top grossing films of all times, earning a whooping  PHP 152,791,025 during its' entire run. It features the team up of  two credible actors John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. The film is directed by award-winning director Cathy Garcia Molina and released by Star Cinema.

SYNOPSIS:
Their love story began when they first met as students at the University of Santo Tomas: Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz) was majoring in Engineering while Basha (Bea Alonzo) was a freshman in Architecture. They had been inseparable and did everything together— eating, studying and attending parties. Both their families loved them, they shared mutual friends and eventually ended up working for the same firm. Every single component of their lives revolved around each other. So naturally, everyone assumed that they would inevitably get married someday, with Architect Basha designing and planning their dream house while Engineer Popoy would build it. Everything could not be more perfect.
At least, that was what Popoy thought. What he did not know was that Basha was not as sure about their future as Popoy seemed to be.
All Popoy's nagging and excessive planning took a toll on Basha. Not only was she tired of trying to carve out her own mark in the hierarchy of the firm, but she also grew weary of Popoy always stepping in to fix things for her. One day, Basha told Popoy that she wanted to resign and move to a smaller firm where she could be given better opportunities to design independently, completely blindsiding her bewildered beau. She revealed the issue that had been brewing inside her for the past year: the real reason why she wanted to leave the company was that she was tired of Popoy and their relationship. She felt hindered by Popoy's constant attention and thought that she had never been given the chance to decide and plan for herself because he always did everything. Popoy was speechless and devastated. That same night, Basha broke up with him, reasoning that she needed the space to grow on her own.
Not knowing how to pick himself up after the love of his life left him, Popoy struggled to live his new life alone. Meanwhile, Basha followed through with her plans to resign from the firm. For a while, she drifted jobless, customizing T-shirts with unusual patterns and designs, until she was offered to work for a smaller firm. Accepting the offer, she began to feel the professional freedom she had been longing for. Popoy and Basha tried to live without each other but the ties that bound them made it difficult for either of them to completely move on, especially when their families and friends were constant reminders of the promises and dreams they had made during their happier days.
Slowly, Popoy moved on and discovered that there was life after Basha; on the other hand, Basha began to find her solitary journey to be harder than she had imagined, especially when Popoy began dating another girl. Although a part of her wanted to get him back, she reminded herself that the decision to terminate the relationship was hers alone.
Opportunity knocked on their door when Popoy's aunt commissioned them to build her house together. After initially feeling awkward, Popoy and Basha eventually warmed up towards each other, especially after memories of the five years they spent together resurfaced. Slowly and unconsciously, they fell into their old routines and found themselves enjoying each other's company once again. Both realized how much they had missed each other, at the same time acknowledging how much they each had changed.
But Popoy knew that giving in would mean that they would go back to how they were before, that she will just go on her way again and ignore him when she grew tired again of their relationship and he will be left alone again and hurt.

BONUS [here are some of the most famous lines from our beloved Basha and Popoy]...

"kagustuhan ko naman ito di ba? bakit ako ang nasasaktan ng sobra,a lam mo lagi ko pa ding sinasabi sana ako, sana ako nalang, sana ako nalang ulit.." - Basha

"Not so nice to meet you.""Malaki lang ang katawan mo pero 'di mo ko kayang patumbahin!" - Popoy
Mahal mo pa ba siya?
Ayokong nakikitang nasasaktan.
(She reaches out and softly closes his eyes.) Para kung masaktan man ako, hindi mo makikita...Mahal mo pa ba siya?
(He starts to sob) I'm sorry.

"baka kaya tayo iniiwan ng taong mahal natin, kasi baka may bagong darating na mas ok, na mas mamahalin tayo, yun taong di tau sasaktan at paasahin, un nag-iisang taong magtatama ng mali sa buhay natin, ng lahat ng mali sa buhay natin,"

"ipikit mo mga mata mo,para hindi mo makitang nasasaktan ako.."

"Ten years from now, ganito parin kaya tayo?"
"Ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, forever and ever!"
"Promise?"
"Promise."

"I don't even know kung tama 'tong ginagawa ko, pero alam ko kailangan ko nang tapusin 'to."
"Basha, mahal mo pa ba 'ko?"
"Poy, I'm so sorry."

When love ends...

"Five years? Itatapon mo lang lahat?"
"Kailangan ko to, kailangan mo rin."
"Pero ikaw ang kailangan ko."

"If kaya pang ayusin pilitin. What if this is really what both of you need? Then just be strong. Magiging mahirap at masakit pero hopefully all the pain will be worth it."

I will give this movie 9.5 out of 10 stars.

Outsourced!

Call center people here's the TV Series that best fits us. This US TV series is indeed timely, entertaining and informative. It was able to showcase how cultural differences serves as a barrier to the clients and to those call center workers. The show tells how it is being surpassed and how to succeed despite the barrier.

Outsourced is an American sitcom that is set in an Indian workplace. It is based on the John Jeffcoat film of the same name and adapted by Ken Kwapis (In Cahoots Productions) and Universal Media Studios for NBC. The series was officially picked up by NBC on May 7, 2010.[ It premiered on September 23, 2010. On October 18, 2010, the show received a full season order by NBC. Outsourced is recorded in Studio City, Los Angeles.

Outsourced is set in a Mumbai, India call center, where an American novelties company has recently outsourced its order processing. A lone American manages the call center and must explain American popular culture to his employees as he tries to understand Indian culture.

Cast

The show is centered around Todd Dempsy and a number of his employees working for the Mid America Novelties call center, as well other call center managers in the same building.
  • Ben Rappaport as Todd Dempsy, a Kansas City native who is transferred to India to run the call center for Mid America Novelties.
  • Rizwan Manji as Rajiv Gidwani, Todd's mischievous assistant manager at Mid America Novelties, who is hard-nosed and unapologetic and who aspires to be Todd's replacement (whether that happens due to either Todd's success or his downfall).
  • Sacha Dhawan as Manmeet, a call center employee for Mid America Novelties, who dreams of America and American women and quickly becomes good friends with his boss, Todd.
  • Rebecca Hazlewood as Asha, a call center employee for Mid America Novelties and love interest of Todd, who is frequently the voice of reason in the office and plans to pursue an arranged marriage.
  • Parvesh Cheena as Gupta, a very talkative call center employee for Mid America Novelties, who constantly yearns to be the center of attention.
  • Anisha Nagarajan as Madhuri, a shy and soft-spoken call center employee for Mid America Novelties whose income alone supports her entire family.
  • Diedrich Bader as Charlie Davies, another American call center manager for the company All-American Hunter, whose gruff exterior hides a heart of gold.
  • Pippa Black as Tonya, a flirtatious Australian call center manager for the company Koala Airlines, who is easygoing with a sense of adventure

The show has received mixed reviews, reaching a 46 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic. Joel Keller of TV Squad in a review of the pilot stated "As long as the show can examine the cultural divide, show how all offices are the same no matter where they are, and stay away from the easy jokes, NBC could have another Thursday comedy hit." Alessandra Stanley of The New York Times more positively stated, "The fact that it's neither embarrassing nor deeply offensive—once it gets rolling, the show is actually quite charming—is a credit to the cast and the writers."

On November 15, 2010, NBC announced that Outsourced would begin following 30 Rock at 10:30/9:30c beginning January 20.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars. It just made me wanna go to India, place and people seems very interesting.

In Love ♥ with Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho

I must say that Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho is considered one of the best shows, if not the best, GMA Network has created. It is indeed one of the shows they can really be proud of. Filipinos are just but in love, hooked up and fascinated with the show.

It is my Saturday night - guilty pleasure. I can't sleep without watching it. I always update my self on their latest episodes. Good thing they have their own website, which by the way is a brilliant idea. I can go back to the past episodes to watch it again or check out the episodes I regretfully missed.

Why Do I Love It? ♥  ♥  ♥

1. I am a huge fan of Ms. Jessica Soho. A credible newscaster.

3. It is never boring. Despite it being on the tube for almost a decade now (close to it at least).
4. Ms. Jessica Soho has very nice spiels. I must say Intelligent spiels.
5. This show makes you proud as a Filipino.
6. It got the best Exclusives.
7. It makes you aware.
8. The theme song of the show is indeed very nice.
9. It is world class.
10. It is award winning both local and abroad.

Theme Song
So, what else can you ask for. The show is already a complete package. As they say in Tagalog "Wala ka nang Hahanapin pang iba."

The only wish I have right now, is to meet my ultimate Idol, Ms Jessica Soho. She's one of the few local celebrities I would love to meet. Others include Ms. Angel Locsin, Chris Tiu and Sarah Geronimo.

Zodiac Signs: Reshuffled

Peeps, we've got new set of Zodiac Signs. It has been reshuffled. Please check the details below from Time: NewsFeed

If you're the type of person who relies on mysterious-sounding locations of stars to determine your personality and outcome in life, get ready to be shocked.
The field of astrology, which is concerned with horoscopes and the like, felt a major disruption from astronomers, who are concerned with actual stars and planets. The astronomers from the Minnesota Planetarium Society found that because of the moon's gravitational pull on Earth, the alignment of the stars was pushed by about a month.
MY TAKE ON THIS:  I find this very weird, it has been since i was born that my Zodiac Sign was VIRGO. All of a sudden it will be changed this time. I am so used to having VIRGO as my sign. Now i would have to use LEO, well i will give it a try.

American Idol : Season 10

January 2011 welcomes the newest season of the most popular singing reality tv show in the whole world, American Idol. I am personally excited for this. I have been very vocal that I really love AI. Though this season will be very different, first off, 3 previous judges were gone, Simon Cowell - Kara DeoGuardi - and Ellen DeGeneres. New faces will be in, Steven Tyler and my favorite, Jennifer Lopez, to join the returning AI judge Randy Jackson.

The tenth season of American Idol is scheduled to premiere on January 19, 2011, on Fox. This will be the first season for which 15 year-olds may audition. This will also be the first season where episodes will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays, rather than Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
