Welcome to the beautiful Province of Aurora. Aurora is located in Central Luzon. It has 8 equally beautiful municipalities. Baler, its capital, San Luis, Maria Aurora, Dipaculao, Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag, and Dingalan. It's been a common misconception that Aurora is still part of the Quezon Province. Not anymore. It was in 1979 when Aurora was officially granted a Provincial status. The province was named after the former First Lady Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon. Aurora has also produced some of the most prominent names in the field of politics and entertainment.  Manuel Luis Quezon , the President of the Philippine Commonwealth, will always be one of the favorite sons of the province. We also have former Senator Edgardo Angara and his son, Senator Sonny Angara. And of course, the award winning actor, Heneral Luna's John Arcilla. Every February 19, Aurora celebrates its founding anniversary. It is also the birth anniversary of Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon. So,...

A campaign to introduce our province to all potential tourists. The Popstar Princess, Sarah Geronimo has graced the invitation to sing the theme song for Baler, Aurora. Kudos Sarah, you did really great. I must admit though that the video quality isn't that good. It needs a lot of improvement still, wasted would be those breath-taking spots if it won't be presented in a very good way. But nevertheless, this is a great Tourism Campaign. I have always been very vocal in saying that I'm a proud Auroran, I will be forever. I invite you guys to experience our Province. You won't regret it. Yes, you read it right. It is Aurora Province and not Aurora Quezon , at least not anymore. Our province is always a victim of this misconception. It is true though that we have been once part of the Quezon Province but for the longest time now Aurora has been granted a Province Status since August 13, 1979 by President Ferdinand E. Marcos  by virtue of Batas Bambansa Blg. 7. I can't blame the people if they still think that Aurora is still part of Quezon. Let's face it, our Province is not known very well. If not because of TYPHOONS we may not even have a mark on people's minds. But mind you, Aurora  can boast a lot of its good features. So Folks. Let me Introduce my Province. M iss Philippines Earth 2011 Winner June 5, 2011. A new queen was crowned. Athena Imperial from Casiguran, Aurora bested 48 other candidates for this years' Ms. Philippines-Earth 2011. She stood out on the question and answer portion. Athena bagged the Peoples' Choice Award too. The Province of Aurora celebrated its' 32nd Foundation Anniversary. There had been lots of activities that took place during the stretch of the celebration. This years' celebration can be considered as one of the best if not the best celebration that the province had. It was marked by 10 meaningful events.  But before we embark on the events/happenings. Awesome Baler!                 Baler is the capital of Aurora Province.  It is a small town located in the center of the province. Though this town is simple it offers a wide range of activities that will surely make your vacation a worthy one. This place only has a total land area of 92.55 km(2), with an approximate population of 35 thousand. Akaw! As the capital and oldest municipality of Aurora Province, Baler is the seat of government and the center for trade and industry.
